Campership Committee

The Campership Committee is an excellent way to support Amici at a grassroots level and can be a great fit for volunteers with busy schedules. We are often looking for new members to join the committee.

The Campership Committee is a vital team of Amici volunteers who perform reference checks for new camper applicants. When conducting reference checks, committee members can at times encounter difficult conversations. For this reason, we cannot guarantee that all who apply to be part of the committee will be accepted.

As summer draws nearer, committee members also have the opportunity to act as a “Camp Coach” should they wish too. This role involves ensuring new campers and their families are ready for camp and answering any questions they might have before heading off for the summer.

This committee runs each year from fall through to summer, with the majority of the commitment being completed remotely and according to a committee member’s own schedule. If you are interested, contact Amici's Program Coordinator Shantal to learn more. All applicants will be asked to provide two (2) references to Amici as part of the application process.
