The Campership Committee is an excellent way to support Amici at a grassroots level and can be a great fit for volunteers with busy schedules. We are looking for new members at all times of year, contact Jodie to learn more.
The Campership Committee is a vital team of Amici volunteers who perform reference checks for new camper applicants and make recommendations for support to the Program Manager. Help Amici learn about our new camper applicants so we can find the best camp fit for each one.
As summer draws nearer, each volunteer acts as a “camp coach” to all confirmed new campers and camper families – ensuring campers are ready for camp and answering any questions campers and their families might have before heading off for the summer!
This committee runs each year from December through the summer, with occasional follow-up with families in the Fall once campers have returned. The majority of the commitment is completed on a committee member’s own schedule and from home. Each committee member is responsible for several new camper reference checks and mentoring new camper families, all over phone and email.
