Welcome to our website. My name is Michael Jack and I am the president of Amici Camping Charity. During my 16 summers as a camper and staff member at summer camp I both experienced and witnessed the deeply positive impact of camping on personal development. Amici’s Board Members, and a great many of its volunteers and supporters, have shared this experience. We are very proud to be able to extend our involvement in camping through Amici.

For the girls and boys that we currently sponsor, time spent at camp will bring about stories of canoe trips, campfires and fun. Those of us with the benefit of hindsight understand that the impact on the children that we sponsor goes well beyond that. Camp is about positive role models and learning to live in a community. It is about setting goals, meeting challenges. It is about character development. Camp is about building confidence and self-esteem; learning new skills and exploring creativity in a safe and supportive environment.
